President Urges Americans to Conserve Fuel

Gas is holding steady in Lubbock at $2.99, but President Bush is urging all Americans to conserve.

"Americans should be prudent in the use of their oil in the next few weeks. Don't buy gas if don't need it," says President Bush.

Bush says we can expect a temporary fuel shortage, but he's temporarily waiving the Jones act, which allows foreign tankers to deliver oil to US ports.
