Botox has been shown to be useful in treating migraine headaches, excessive sweating and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. You'll never guess where researchers are experimenting with it now... on the prostate.
Doctors were gathered at the International Continence Society meeting in Montreal, when researchers presented evidence that suggests Botox can also help men with prostate problems.
When injected directly into an enlarged prostate, Botox can help relieve the inflammation that causes impotence and problems urinating. The study was done on rats. More study needs to be done before researchers say they'll try this on men.
