ABERNATHY, TX (KCBD) -

A nine-month-old girl was found at a McDonald's in Plainview before 2 p.m. Friday.

The child is in the custody of Child Protective Services at the moment and the case is being handled Lubbock County District Attorney's office. At this time there have been no charges filed.

Abernathy police were searching for the suspect and a baby after responding to reports of a domestic assault Thursday night.

KCBD was on the scene of the standoff overnight outside a home in Abernathy. Police on the scene say they were called out around 11:40 Thursday night for reports of domestic violence. They say a man barricaded himself inside a home with a baby.

The Lubbock Sheriff's SWAT team was also called out to the scene, but when they entered the home, they did not find the man or the baby inside.

The Abernathy Police Chief tells KCBD NewsChannel 11 they will be filing charges of family violence assault.
