PILA holding balloon release for Angel Mommies, May 6

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness (PILA) Lubbock is having a balloon release in honor of International Bereaved Mother's Day for Angel Mommies that have experienced pregnancy or infant loss.

Any parent who has lost a child or those who support the families that have lost a child, are more than welcome to attend.

Parents can write a message on the balloon prior to the release.

What: PILA Lubbock International Bereaved Mother's Day Balloon Release

Where:  Maxey Park, South side near the Maxey Community Center

When:  Sunday, May 6, 2018, 3:00 p.m.

Details: A time for fellowship and a balloon release in recognition of our babies in heaven.

    According to officials with the Texas Department of Transportation, a tanker was heading south on FM 2130 towards Highway 114, about a mile and a half east of Smyer.
