Salvation Army Requests Food Donations

They served 7,000 meals Monday and now the Salvation Army of Lubbock needs your help. The Salvation Army is preparing the meals for hurricane evacuees at Reese and for the volunteers. This morning alone, they used more than 800 loaves of bread. The Salvation Army is asking for the following food donations: Eggs, milk, sausage, bread, snack items and baby food. Donations can be dropped off at the Salvation Army 24 hours a day. They're located at 16th and Avenue K. To volunteer, call 806-765-9434. Monetary donations are still being accepted as well.
