Grass fire near Abernathy moving southeast

ABERNATHY, TX (KCBD) -

A grass fire near Abernathy, located east of North County Road 2800 on East Farm to Market Road 597, is continuing to burn and move southeast.

The fire is in Lubbock County and departments from New Deal, Abernathy and Idalou are currently on the scene. 

At the moment there are no signs of injuries or significant damages related to this fire. The fire does seem to be under control by officials on the scene.
