TTU Becomes Home To Tulane University Athletes

Fifty-four athletes from Tulane University will be moving to Lubbock and Texas Tech.

While their home city of New Orleans slowly recovers, in an unprecedented arrangement, Tulane University will enroll their student athletes at five different campuses, including Texas Tech.

Green Wave women's basketball and baseball, which was #1 most of last season, will call Lubbock home. The Tulane athletes will start arriving in Lubbock Tuesday night.

Football will go to Louisiana Tech while Texas A&M, Rice and SMU will aid many of the other athletic programs. Texas Tech's Athletic Director Gerald Myers says Tech was ready willing and able to help Tulane's student-athletes.
