Thunderstorm watches to continue in eastern viewing areas

9:11 p.m. 

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues for the Eastern half of the viewing area until 11 p.m. Sunday. 

Severe storms have impacted portions of Motley, Hall and Cottle County.  Just northeast of our viewing area, Estelline was pounded by large hail for over half an hour straight. 

There has been lots of damage in Childress County. Storms still producing baseball-sized hail in the past few minutes. 

Water was covering the roads along US 287 northwest of Childress and along FM 658. Locals in Estelline reporting it as the worst hailstorm that they can ever remember.  

8:18 p.m.

A Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for the northeast portion of Motley County, west Cottle County and southeast Hall County that will last until 9:15 p.m. 

These storms are capable of producing large hail and strong wind gust up to 60 mph. 

6:41 p.m.

There has been a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Hall County until 7:30 p.m. with two-inches of rain possible along with 60 mph wind gusts. This storm will impact Turkey, Brice and Lakeview moving northeast at 20 mph.

5:57 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been put into effect until 6:30 p.m. for areas near Northfield, Childress and Estelline. Tennis ball sized hail and wind gusts up to 70 mph are possible.

This storm is moving northeast at 20 mph. 

4:39 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been posted for the Eastern half of the viewing area until 11 p.m Sunday.

Storms may develop along the dryline later this afternoon and evening. Storms could produce large hail and high wind gusts if they develop.

Storms will be scattered and will more than likely move northeast.
