Lubbock Christian looks for 4th straight State Baseball Championship

Lubbock Christian Eagles facing Arlington Pantego

(KCBD) - An eight and a half hour bus ride didn't slow down Lubbock Christian High School as the three-time defending State Baseball Champion Eagles rolled past Arlington Pantego 16-1 in a run-ruled three-inning game in the TAPPS State Semifinals in Crosby, Texas on Wednesday afternoon.

Merritt McPherson hit a grand slam over the 378 foot center field wall that stands 18 feet high.  As he was rounding the bases, the PA announcer let everyone know that it was the first ever over the center field wall in the history of Cougar Field at the Ballpark at Crosby

Zeke Lott added a three-run homer as the Eagles soar back into the TAPPS State Title game, looking for a 4th straight State Championship.

Lubbock Christian will play Cypress Christian Academy at 7 p.m. Thursday night for the TAPPS State Title.
