TERRY COUNTY, TX (KCBD) -

Seventy-four-year-old Jimmie Joe Wilson of Longview was hospitalized after a crash four miles north of U.S. Highway 62/82 at around 5:15 p.m. Thursday.

Officials were able to confirm Wilson's motorcycle hydro-planed while he was driving north on the highway. Preliminary evidence from the crash indicates this crash was weather-related, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

An ambulance from Lovington, New Mexico came upon the crash and helped Brownfield EMS transport Wilson to University Medical Center in Lubbock with incapacitating injuries, according to DPS.

Officials with UMC have confirmed Wilson remains in critical condition.
