LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - For teams to make it into the College Football Playoffs, the following criteria is always considered.

Championships won, the strength of a schedule, head-to-head Competition, and comparative outcomes of common opponents.

Friday afternoon, the Texas Tech football team lined up Power Five opponents, to bolster their strength of schedule for the future.

As they have scheduled a home-and-home series with the Oregon State Beavers, during the 2025 and 2026 football seasons.

The Red Raiders will host the series opener on Sept. 13, 2025, and will travel the following season to Reser Stadium in Corvallis on Sept. 12, 2026.

This is just one of many non-conference opponents that Texas Tech has schedule out this far in advance.
