He's only served on the 7th Court of Appeals bench since July 8th, but Mackey Hancock says that's long enough to decide he wants to stay there.

Judge Hancock announced his candidacy for Justice of the 7th Court of Appeals on Thursday. It's the same position he's currently serving but he must run so he can serve an entire term.

Governor Perry appointed Hancock in June to fill a vacancy.
