LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock Titan Kaleb Thornton signed in front of family and friends Tuesday afternoon to play football at Wayland Baptist.

He's super excited for the opportunity.

"I got the call from the coach about signing with them. After all the colleges I've looked at and talked with, Wayland just felt like the right place for me."

The home schooled six-man football player had a fantastic year helping the Lubbock Titans make the State Title game. He plans on working even harder up in Plainview to get on the football field for the Pioneers.

"I'm going to show them who I am the first year. It doesn't matter if you come from six-man or 11-man, I'm ready to play college football. I'm going to do what it takes in the weight room, outside the weight room, in the classroom, whatever it takes to get on the field."

Congrats to Kaleb Thornton.
