BROWNFIELD, TX (KCBD) -

The Brownfield Regional Medical Center Clinic has reopened after closing yesterday due to federal agents enforcing a search warrant.

Agents from Dallas and Lubbock took box after box out of Dr. Dennis Tedford's office yesterday. He works as a family practitioner and gynecologist. The CEO of the Brownfield Regional Medical Center, Jerry Jasper, says Dr. Tedford is on vacation and was not at the clinic when the warrant was served.

"We are looking into it and fixing whatever needs to be done to be compliant with all applicable laws and regulations," said Jasper. "Dr. Tedford has been delivering babies for 25 years. He is compassionate and cares for his patients and I'm sure this will all be sorted out.

He also says Dr. Tedford will not face any sort of administrative leave when he returns from vacation because his license has not been affected by this investigation. He says they will continue to work with the DEA and do whatever is asked of them.
