SEMINOLE, TX (KCBD) - According to the Gaines County Sheriff, deputies were called to the Seminole Memorial Emergency Room after receiving reports that a man had been shot and was being taken by private vehicle to the hospital.
The call came in around 2 a.m. The victim, 26-year-old Penuel Silverio was sent to a Lubbock hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
Deputies say the shooting happened in the 400 block of County Road 306-H.
The suspect, 37-year-old Oscar Baez was taken into custody and faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and driving while intoxicated. He is being held in the Gaines County Jail on a combined $110,000 bond.
