We spoke to fans Saturday who say they think the out look is great for this year's team, and of course when it's game day for Texas Tech it's grill day for Texas Tech football fans.

9/10/05 No. 21 Raiders Power Past Golden Panthers Cody Hodges threw for 454 yards and four touchdowns and ran for another to lead Texas Tech past Florida International 56-3.

Hundreds of tailgaters celebrated the first day of Tech's football season. Because of construction on the Marsha Sharp Freeway, free parking and tailgating was moved to the West Commuter lot near the United Spirit Arena, but the location didn't seem to bother the fans.
