LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - For the first time since 2012, the Louisville baseball team has been defeated in the Regional round of the NCAA Tournament.
As the Red Raider baseball team defeated the Cardinals in Lubbock by a final of 10-4.
In the game, Texas Tech plated three runs in the third, three runs in the fourth, two runs in the sixth, and two runs in the 7th to give them their 10-runs in the game.
The Louisville pitchers struggled with their command, as they gave up nine walks compared to four for the Red Raiders.
Caleb Kilian picked up the win for Texas Tech, where he tossed five innings, giving up two runs and got four strikeouts.
In all, there were 4,563 fans in attendance for the game.
Up next, the Red Raiders will play the winner of Louisville and Kent State on Sunday at 6 p.m.
