NEW DEAL, TX (KCBD) - The New Deal Lions left for the 2A State Baseball Tournament early Tuesday morning.

The 30-4 Lions face 32-4-1 Big Sandy 4 p.m. Wednesday at Dell Diamond in Round Rock in the State Semifinals.

Head Coach Jason Ybarra went to State as a New Deal player three years in a row from 2005-2007. So how it is different now being the head coach?

"It's a little bit more stress. As a player, you don't have to worry about a lot of things. You show up and play. This time I had to make the lineup, trying to make the best lineup to put the kids in the best spot to win it. It's a little bit more stress but I'm up for the challenge."
