US 84 in Post closed for accident investigation Friday morning

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is scheduled to close a segment of US 84 in Post to traffic tomorrow morning, Friday, June 8, to allow the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) to safely conduct a crash scene investigation.

All lanes will be closed to traffic.

West/northbound US 84 traffic will be detoured around the area at Loop 46 (South Avenue F). Drivers will need to follow the detour signs to 15th Street to reconnect with US 84.

East/southbound US 84 motorists will be detoured at 5th Street to Loop 46 south to connect with US 84.

The closure is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and is anticipated to be in place until noon or when officers conclude their investigation. Motorists are advised to stay alert and to watch out for TxDOT crews setting up the closure.
