HERMLEIGH, TX (KCBD) - Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety have identified the man who was killed in a crash on US 84 near Hermleigh Monday night.
Around 11 p.m., 29-year-old Pete Castro, of Snyder, was riding in a 2014 Ford SUV on County Road 4126 while trying to cross US 84 toward Hermleigh.
Officials say when the Ford crossed into the northbound lanes, another SUV hit the right side of the Ford. The Ford was hit again by a semi-truck. The crash pushed the Toyota into a nearby Allsup's fuel station.
Castro was pronounced dead on the scene.
There is no word on if there were any other injuries in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
