From dairies to beef, cows play a vital role in Hale County's economy.

Vista Grande was the first dairy in the county, opening five years ago. Today, the dairy milks 3,000 cows three times a day on a carousel. Overall, Hale County's five dairies produce about 40.5 million gallons of milk every year.
