Museum Illustrates Plainview History - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

If you want to know the history of Plainview and Hale County a great place to go is the Museum of the Llano Estacado. Located on the Wayland Baptist University campus, the museum contains the remains of an unearthed mammoth among its 80 exhibits. A new exhibit planned to open by mid-Dcember will highlight people from the area that have achieved state or national recognition, like Jimmy Dean and Leah Kay Lyle, 1989 Miss Texas.
