Police release new information in the investigation of a woman found dead Tuesday, September 13, at the Lubbock City landfill. The Lubbock Medical Examiner released Summer Baldwin's autopsy report late Wednesday afternoon. Lubbock police say it confirms their suspicions that it is a homicide case.
The autopsy report also reveals the 29-year-old died from blunt force trauma. However, authorities are not saying where the injuries occurred until further investigation.
A city worker found Baldwin's body in the landfill Tuesday, September 13. Police suspected it was a homicide because of where her body was found.
Police are trying to contact persons of interest who may have information on how Baldwin spent the three days leading up to her death. However, they have no official suspects.
Meanwhile, NewsChannel 11 has learned Baldwin had four children and she's from Oregon. We also found Baldwin has a criminal record, including drug charges. Police are conducting a full background check.
