WELLMAN, TX (KCBD) - The last high school football coaching vacancy in our viewing area has been filled as the Wellman-Union ISD School Board approved Marcus Limon to be the new head football coach of the Wildcats. He will also teach JH Social Studies.
The son of Abernathy baseball coach Hector Limon, Marcus has been in Fort Worth the past couple of years. Before that he taught in Brownfield.
He graduated from Estacado and played baseball at Wayland Baptist and Texas Arlington.
Limon takes over for Joseph Hood, who left to be the Offensive Coordinator at Borger. Hood guided the Wildcats to the six-man football playoffs for the first time since 2006 as they finished 6-4.
Congrats to Marcus Limon on taking over at Wellman-Union.
