More than 100 Lubbock residents share the same problem in their Tech Terrace neighborhood...and they came together to talk about it Monday night.
"This is our home. This is not a parking lot for Texas Tech students!" said one resident.
Residents at a Monday meeting, called by City Councilman Gary Boren, said that when classes are in session, parking becomes a problem. Many complained that students are block driveways, congest streets and speed through neighborhoods.
Councilman Boren called the meeting at Hutchison Junior High to compile a list of concerns. Boren said in addition to taking them to the city council, he'll also take them to the Texas Tech Traffic and Parking Department, which did not have a representative in attendance.
