A Lubbock Fire Marshall is still investigating the cause of a house fire that left a family of six homeless. It happened around 11 o'clock Tuesday morning near 3rd and Temple.
Anna Trevino, her four daughters, and her grand baby are staying with family right now and are trying to find any piece of their lives that was not effected by the fire.
Anna was alone in the house when the fire started. She said she was cleaning behind the stove, and when she went to move it, the gas line broke and somehow ignited. Neighbor's across the street called 9-1-1. No one was injured, but the family, who moved in just one week ago, has nothing to their name.
Fabian Trevino, the fire victim's nephew said, "I don't know. I don't know where she's going to go now. She ain't got nothing left. I mean she spent all her money just to pay us to fix the house now she ain't got nothing."
The district fire chief says the house has severe damage, and the kitchen and living rooms will probably not be salvaged.
