Using high resolution maps and data from Hurricane Carla in 1961, researchers have simulated the effects of a Category Four storm on the Galveston area. In the attached streaming video, you can see the water submerges parts of the Texas Coast.
Galveston published this simulation to emphasize the importance of evacuations during a major storm.
