Traffic to be reduced, stopped on Quaker Avenue near 61st, 66th Street Thursday

Traffic watch issued near Quaker, 61st, 66th Streets

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Crews with the City of Lubbock will be working to safely remove overhead utility lines between 61st and 66th Street on Quaker Avenue beginning Thursday morning.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane once the morning rush passes and stopped completely for a short period after 9:30 a.m., according to a City of Lubbock news release.

Drivers and pedestrians are advised to reduce speed while traveling in this area or seek an alternative route. Delays should be expected when going around this area.
