Lubbock and area hospitals are on stand-by, ready to treat evacuees if necessary.
When evacuees arrived in Lubbock, following Hurricane Katrina, Covenant Health System activated its Emergency Command Center and set up hundreds of beds near the emergency room.
Thursday night, a Covenant spokeswoman told NewsChannel 11 they will get word when patients are en-route. Then at that time, they will activate the Command Center, again.
