Lubbock Hotels Expect To Fill By Weekend

Lubbock hotels and motels expect to post "no vacancy" signs this weekend.

Rooms will be filled with Texas Tech football fans, Katrina survivors and hurricane evacuees that have made their way to Lubbock from Houston. Residence Inn on South Loop 289 and University is already housing five Houston families.

Governor Rick Perry has banned the hotel-motel tax for Hurricane Rita evacuees.
