Texas Attorney General Sends Warning Against Price Gouging

Gas prices continue to go up as Rita makes her way for the Gulf Coast.

In Lubbock, we found gas prices as high as $2.79 and as low as $2.54. But, experts say the price of gas could skyrocket if the Hurricane damages Texas oil refineries.

A map from the U.S. Government shows more than a hundred oil platforms are located in the Gulf, and 26 refineries are located in the Gulf.

The Texas Attorney General is warning all Texas businesses against price gouging of gas, water, food, lodging, rental vehicles. He's already received complaints of Houston grocers selling a 12-pack of bottled water for $35.
