In just one week the Lubbock Music Festival will showcase the talent of almost 200 musicians, including Texas Country artist, Pat Green. NewsChannel 11's Suleika Acosta visited KLLL studio to find out what we can expect at the free festival.
"Lots of music down in the Depot District," describes Rick Gilbert, KLLL radio personality. But that's an understatement considering the dozens of bands and singers scheduled to perform at the Lubbock Music Festival.
The line up includes one local favorite, Country Music Singer Pat Green. "People like him, Lubbock calls him his own, he's ours," says Rick. During Thursday's KLLL morning show, pat revealed some secrets about his performances. "Basically it's the greatest show on earth, the circus of country music," says Pat.
Organizers also hope to shine a spot light on Lubbock's very own talent. "I think it's great for the city, brings attention to the city because it's something that is really needed, it brings attention to the entertainment of Lubbock," adds Rick.
Pat Green will perform next Friday in a free concert.
