Cashier Fights Attempted Robber Off - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A cashier at a South Lubbock Pizza Hut fought off a would-be robber with a broom.

Police say the man walked into the Pizza Hut at 3311 82nd Street around 3 o'clock Thurss afternoon. He demanded money but the cashier refused. He then pulled out a pistol and tried to fire but the gun didn't go off. That is when the cashier hit the gunman with a broom and he left.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30's, six-feet tall, and he weighs about 190 pounds. He has short dark hair and is clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
