If you watched Three Wishes Friday night on NBC, you know that Carly Luscomb, an eight-year-old from Clovis, New Mexico, was one of three people chosen by Amy Grant and her team of miracle workers to answer a wish.
Carly had been treated for a brain tumor four years ago at Covenant hospital, and of all the things she could wish for, she asked to help other cancer patients. So, Dr. John Iacuone, a pediatric oncologist at Covenant, ended up center stage at the end of the program tonight, accepting a check for 10 thousand dollars to help in cancer care.
Dr. Iacuone says Covenant plans to use the money to buy state of the art equipment that reduces pain in pediatric procedures.
