Congress is in the process of putting the 2007 farm bill together and they're asking West Texas producers for help.
Wednesday, Mike Johanns, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary, will host a listening session at the Texas Tech University Museum. Congressman Randy Neugebauer wants producers from all the agriculture groups to come together and provide input.
"Each producer will be allowed about two or three minutes to comment about what things they like and don't like about the farm bill and what they want to see in the next farm bill," said Congressman Neugebauer.
The meeting takes place from one to four p.m. at the Helen DeVitt Jones Auditorium inside the Texas Tech Museum at 4th and Indiana. This is the only meeting like this in Texas.
