NewsChannel 11 spoke with Pat Green about Friday night's concert. He said Lubbock is special to him for many reasons.
"Going back to Lubbock...It's always a pleasure to come home. At least I had a home for 10 years out there, where I met my girl and I got my life together. I started playing music so it's nostalgic for me and not only that but it's fun to see the folks," he said.
Pat Green takes the stage at 8:30. But, the music starts at 6:30 with Billy McClaran, followed by Seth James. These concerts are on the main stage between 16th and 17th Streets on Buddy Holly, are free.
On Saturday the free concert stage will open with an afternoon rock jam at 2 o'clock. The West Texas All-Stars perform at 7 o'clock. Then at 8 o'clock, it's the Drifters, Platters and Coasters.
