LP&L Sends Workers To Gulf Coast To Help Restore Power

Thousands remain without power on the Gulf Coast, more than two weeks after Hurricane Rita hit.

But Tuesday, they'll get some help from Lubbock. Lubbock Power & Light crews loaded their trucks with equipment Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning, they'll drive to Kirbyville, a small town Northeast of Beaumont.

Crews will try to restore power and provide relief to crews that have been putting in long hours.
