Rockfish Releases Statement After Carjacking

A Lubbock restaurant released a statement Friday afternoon, after one of its employees was held at gunpoint in the parking lot, Friday morning.

"We are focused on helping our team member who is thankfully uninjured and with her family now. We appreciate the outreach from the Lubbock community and the support of the local police force," read the statement from Rockfish Seafood Grill, located at Slide Road and South Loop 289.

The gunman, 19-year-old Adam Garcia, released the woman after he stole her truck. He later crashed it and took his own life in an central Lubbock neighborhood.
