A woman is behind bars Wednesday morning after leading police on an overnight car chase in Lubbock. NewsChannel 11's Suleika Acosta reports from the scene of the chase.
The car chase started on 19th street and Avenue P around one a.m.. Police tried to stop a white Cadillac but the driver refused to pull over. The woman lead police on a chase through the Depot District then through several neighborhoods in Central Lubbock. She then led authorities North on University to 4th Street and sped down Parkway Drive to the Idalou Highway at speeds of up to 90 miles per hour.
Thirty minutes later, Officers finally caught up with the 20-year-old woman in Northeast Lubbock. Authorities arrested her and she could face multiple charges including reckless driving and evading arrest. No one was injured.
