Armed Bank Robbers Remain On The Loose

Thursday morning two armed men remain on the run. The suspects are accused of holding up a South Lubbock Bank Wednesday morning. NewsChannel 11's Suleika Acosta brings us an update.

Wednesday at around 9:30 a.m. the two men walked into a federal credit union near 74th & University. Police tell us the suspects demanded money and threatened employees with a gun. The men got away with an undisclosed amount of money from a drawer and the vault. Shortly after, authorities discovered a stolen maroon Grand Am nearby. At this point authorities are unsure if car was driven by the suspects.

The first bandit is described as a white man in his 30's. He's 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighs about 130 pounds. The suspects was wearing a blue wool cap and a fake beard. He was also spotted with a black semi-automatic weapon.

The second robber is a Hispanic man, also in his 30's. He is about five-feet five-inches tall, 130 pounds. He has collar length hair, and was wearing a blue plaid shirt.

Police urge that you look out for these men. If you have any information you are asked to call
