Party Ends Abruptly for "Party Bus"

Twenty-seven minors face fines and community service after a single traffic stop Thursday night. Lubbock police pulled over the "Ruby Tequila Party Bus" downtown around midnight because beer cans were being thrown out the window.

Police found several minors consuming alcohol on board and handed out 26 citations for "minors in possession." The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission handed out one more. There were several adults on the bus.

The TABC is now sorting out who is responsible for providing alcohol to the minors. Lieutenant Harry Schreffler says, "Every licensed place, bar, every place that owns and operates a vehicle directly or indirectly, that becomes part of their premise and you can't allow minors to consume there."

Ruby Tequila's tells NewsChannel 11 the bus belongs to and is operated by a company out of Amarillo called "Las Gringos Loco." The restaurant simply advertises on it.
