Fake Money Sends a Lubbock Man to Jail

He tried to pay for a Big Mac with a fake $100 bill, now Eddie Hightower is behind bars in Lubbock County Jail facing a list of charges.

Police arrested the 21-year-old Thursday after a brief foot-chase. Hightower is accused of using counterfeit money at McDonalds. Later, police also learned he was allegedly driving a stolen Ford Expedition. They uncovered drugs, a shotgun and stolen checks inside the vehicle.

Hightower is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, prohibited weapons, forgery, stolen checks, criminal trespass, stolen vehicle and probation violations.
