Almost 100,000 people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with Leukemia or Lymphoma this year, one Lubbock group is hoping to find a cure for these cancers. Lubbock's Leukemia and Lymphoma Society held a benefit dinner and raffle at Lala's Restaurant Sunday evening. Money raised will help area patients and their families and will go toward research to help find the cure for Leukemia and other blood-related cancers. All proceeds benefit the local Leukemia and Lymphoma society. NewsChannel 11's Chief Meteorologist John Robison served as master of ceremonies for the raffle.
