A special groundbreaking today to pave the way for a first of its kind health care facility in Lubbock. It will be called Grace Clinic, and it is the mastermind of Dr. Randy Hickle, who is naming the clinic after his daughter Grace. A group of physicians and businesses have spent the last three years developing this concept. Grace Clinic will combine comfort and convenience with modern day technology. For example, patients will be able to cut a lot of wait time in the doctor's office by scheduling appointments and providing paperwork on-line. Likewise, your prescription should be waiting for you when you leave. Dr. Duncan Burkholder is one of many physicians already planning to set up practice at Grace Clinic.
"We're trying to move medicine into the modern age by making it more electronic. We'll have all electronic medical records. If a person needs any kind of x-ray services, any laboratory services, even colonoscopy, all that would be offered in a sort of one stop shopping. They are many layers of convenience that will be attractive to patients so we're very excited about the Grace Clinic," says Duncan Burkholder M.D. OB-GYN.
Grace Clinic will be located between Salem and Quaker on the Marsha Sharp Freeway. Construction is expected to be complete by October of next year.
