FCC Approves SBC Buyout Of AT&T - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The name change for Jones SBC Stadium is one step closer.

The Federal Communications Commission approved SBC's buyout of AT&T Monday on several conditions. SBC must freeze the wholesale prices they charge competitors to lease high-capacity business lines. SBC must also sell their Internet access as a stand-alone service.

As we told you last week, SBC will convert its name and logos to the AT&T label, so the name of Jones SBC Stadium will eventually change.
