Lubbock is the most affordable college town in the nation. That's the finding of a Coldwell Banker survey.
Coldwell Banker compared the median price of a single family 2,200 square foot home in 59 college towns. They found Lubbock to be the most affordable with homes at just over $164,000. The only other city in the Big Twelve making the top ten most affordable list is Waco which is home to Baylor Univeristy. The most expensive college town is Palo Alto, California where Stanford is. Homes there, average $1.5 million.
