Witnesses say he forced a Plainview woman into a vehicle and drove away. Now, the Texas Rangers and Hale County Sheriff's Office are looking for a man that may be linked to the Texas Prison Gang Syndicate.
They believe Marcus Edward Barrios is the man who forced Sophia Anne Alaniz into her car at a residence just West of Plainview around 1:15 Monday morning. Relatives say Barrios and Alaniz were in a relationship at one time. But police want to find Barrios because of his violent past.
NewsChannel 11 has learned he did serve time for burglary. Hale County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to Barrio's arrest. The two were last seen driving away in a Gray 2002 Chevy Malibu, license plate number H17ZRJ.
If you have any information, call the Texas Rangers at 296-2724.
