If you don't like the taste of broccoli sprouts, then how about wearing them instead?
That mix of fashion and nutrition comes from Johns Hopkins Medical School, where researchers exposed mice to enough ultraviolet light that all the mice developed skin cancer. Then, they covered come of the mice with broccoli sprout extract and it turns out the broccoli-lathered mice ended up with half the tumors as the other mice.
So, what happens now? Researchers are hopeful that this could lead to broccoli topical treatments for people who have suffered sun damage.
