The holidays are just around the corner but many families on the South Plains may not have Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners. That's why the South Plains Food Bank is asking for your help this holiday season. NewsChannel 11's Suleika Acosta shows how you can help.
The food bank feeds thousands during the holidays. They are always accepting canned goods but right now they are asking for frozen turkeys. The turkeys will be part of food baskets filled with holiday goodies delivered to more than 5,000 families this holiday season.
You can also donate the turkeys and other food during NewsChannel 11's U Can Share Food Drive on December 5-10 at the United Supermarket at 82nd Street & Frankford Avenue. You can also stop by the South Plains Food Bank at 4612 Locust Avenue or call (806) 763-3003.
