Accused Kidnapper Awaits Transfer To Plainview

An accused kidnapper is awaiting transfer from Lubbock to Plainview.

Marcus Barrios is now charged with the kidnapping of his former girlfriend, Sophia Alaniz. Witnesses say Barrios force Alaniz into her car and drove away from Plainview early Monday morning. Lubbock Police spotted that car at the Hickory Tree Apartments Wednesday and arrested Barrios. Alaniz was not injured.
